Everyone who wants to maximize their time training, or working out, should follow a periodized plan, custom built for their body. A customized plan ensures that what you do is quality and not simply quantity. No one has time to waste time. We help you set realistic goals and design a plan to ensure that you are doing what is necessary to achieve those goals.
Customized Coaching
(Swim, Bike, Run, Triathlon, Strength)
- Customized training plans delivered every 2 weeks by email.
- Your key workouts outlined and explained in detail.
- Start-up interview to set up your goals, which will be used to develop your plan.
- Interaction with a HillTop coach by phone and email. As needed however, a loose guideline of:
- Three to four monthly phone calls, each call at 15 minutes.
- Fifteen to twenty emails per month answered in 48 hours
- Basic Nutritional Guidance.
- Strength training and flexibility recommendations. (In-person training by the hour)

Testing
Get your Lactate Threshold tested and further maximize your time. The “LT Test” we offer uses heart rate to determine your lactate threshold during exercise, which can then be used to determine appropriate training intensities (zones) and monitor progression. Using a heart rate monitor enables you to know just how hard you are working, making training a much more efficient use of time. Most people do not know that formulas to determine heart rate training zones are often inaccurate and overly general. Everyone’s body is different and everybody has different training zones.
- Run LT Test (treadmill) $25
- Bike LT Test $35 (Computrainer-Watts and Heart Rate can be more accurately measured. You must be able to bring in your bike for this test.)
- Bike LT Test (Spin Bike) $25
* You need to have a heart rate monitor in order for us to perform the test. Let us know and we can help you find a monitor right for you.
